Most people who have spent time around horses believe they know them. They have ridden them, stroked them, given them carrots. But very few have genuinely asked themselves what the horse is experiencing in that encounter.

In July 2026, we are opening five places for young people who want to ask that question seriously. Not from theory, but from direct experience on a real farm with a real herd, for a full week, experiencing the benefits of coliving together.
You won’t come here to learn to ride.
You’ll come to learn to be present.
And that, paradoxically, changes everything.
What is Equine PhiloSophy?
Anthrozoology is the science that studies the relationship between humans and animals. When applied to the world of horses, what emerges is fascinating: centuries of coexistence, of use, of projection, of misunderstanding and also of deep and genuine connection.
Equine PhiloSophy goes a step further. It invites you to ask:
What do we owe the horse? What does it really mean to care?
How does the relationship change when the horse has a genuine voice in what happens?
This week, you will work with the Positive Association mindset, the framework that Proyecto Caballo, with all its partners, has been developing for over 15 years, managing their horses life and being curious for an honest and true relationship, trying to be near Zero conditioning. An approach that places horse welfare at the centre, not as an abstract ideal, but as an everyday practice.
The week, day by day.

| Day 2 > TUESDAY | Who are horses? Introduction to equine ethology. You will learn to read the horse’s body what it says when it doesn’t speak. |
| Day 3 > WEDNESDAY | The human–horse relationship Conceptual frameworks of welfare and agency. Practices with the herd at liberty. Field journal. |
| Day 4 > THURSDAY | Volunteering and the ethics of care The role of the volunteer in EAS. Real animal welfare protocols. Applied ethics workshop. |
| Day 5 > FRIDAY | Integration and closing Final project. Presentations. Closing ceremony with the herd. EAS volunteer accreditation. |
Who is this for?
For young, curious people from 16 years old who feel that horses are telling them something, but don’t yet know exactly what.
For those considering a future in psychology, education, social work, animal welfare or animal-assisted therapies.
And also for those who simply want a week that genuinely means something.
No prior equestrian experience is needed. What you do need is curiosity, a willingness to observe, and a desire to think out loud thinking out of the box.
There are five places, deliberately. Because this doesn’t work at scale. It works when there is space for each person to have a real experience.

Three specialist facilitators for five participants. That is a ratio very few programmes can offer and it changes everything in terms of the quality of accompaniment.
